Os Dias da Investigação na UFP –  três momentos em que o Gabintete de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento da Investigação, da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, organiza a apresentação anual da investigação realizada por investigadores, alunos e ex-alunos da UFP.

O OPVC estará representado no evento por uma das suas investigadoras, com a apresentação das principais linhas de pesquisa daquele observatório, de que se destacam:

Research Days at UFP – three moments when the GADI  (Office of Development and Research Support) organizes an annual presentation of the research developed by researchers, and students of Fernando Pessoa University.

Investigadores do OPVC – UFP apresentam modelo integrador que possibilite uma interpretação possível para a vitimação do indivíduo toxicodependente

O modelo apresentado resultou da necessidade salientada por investigadores de diversas nacionalidades, quanto à urgência de se atender à vitimação de populações específicas como a que apresenta dependência de drogas. Por isso, partiu-se de teorias que se dedicam à explicação da relação droga-crime para, a partir da sua interpretação conjugada com outras perspetivas, se apresentar uma possível análise do toxicodependente, já não apenas como eventual delinquente, mas também como indivíduo vulnerável à vitimação.

Several analyses on the drug-crime link have focused primarily on drug addicts as potential offenders. However, situations in which the addict is also a crime victim are not so rare, and recent analyses convey the need for more research and examination of the victimization of drug addicts as a phenomenon.  So, we explain the potential reasons why drug addicts are so vulnerable to victimization situations, and why there are no registers of these occurrences. Then, we review some models and theories about drug addiction, criminal behaviors and victimization, in order to construct an integrative approach that allows a deeper understanding of the drug addict victimization.
